The global handling of raw materials and resources calls for sustainable solutions and a common strategy to avoid unnecessary waste. Also in the textile world, the increasing use of synthetic fibers and blended fabrics requires new approaches to develop clothing in a more sustainable way.
Under our brand "Zweimalig" we transform or upcycle your discarded or damaged clothing into a new product. From barbecue aprons to sports bags or head cushion covers, our solutions are as versatile as your clothing.
Recycling problem with clothing:
- Plastic or metal buttons must be cut off before recycling
- Zippers made of plastic or metal are difficult to remove
- Reflective elements contain plastic and glass particles, these are sewn on or printed on
- Fabric blends cannot be recycled separately after weaving or knitting
- Additional accessories such as buckles or handles on bags have to be laboriously removed

Our partner Wunschtextil Manufaktur based in Klagenfurt develops upcycling projects and sustainable solutions for the recycling of clothing, accessories and packaging materials for us and our customers.
Wunschtextil Manufaktur offers the following services
- Upcycling: Analysis of existing clothing on the basis of samples which are representative for the entire clothing as well as development and production of upcycled products and provision of samples.
- Training: Organization of sewing workshops and courses in our modern textile workshop in Klagenfurt, regular training of holiday interns as an additional qualification
- Production of prototypes: Creation of prototypes in protective clothing, pattern development and provision of size sets as well as production of special designs
- Custom textiles: finishing of clothing with printing, production of costumes and textile products according to the customer's wishes, as well as special designs and repairs
