Workwear and protective clothing from ISA-TEX with LYCRA® dualFX® TECHNOLOGY

The problem: As fabric stretches, the tendency for the fabric to stretch out or shrink also increases. This can have a negative impact on garment performance and lead to poor fit of pants and jackets.
The solution: patented LYCRA® dualFX® technology consists of two stretch components with unsurpassed performance. LYCRA® fiber (spandex) provides durable stretch for comfort and fit, while LYCRA® T400® fiber provides excellent recovery properties for exceptional shape retention. These fibers are blended together and wrapped with any yarn.
Advantages for the garment wearer:
Perfect elasticity, all-day comfort and durable fit.
LYCRA® T400® is a multi-component yarn in which different polymers are bonded together in each filament. Each polymer shrinks to varying degrees when exposed to heat, creating a smooth spiral crimp. Because the crimp is not mechanically induced, the elongation and recovery of LYCRA® T400® fiber is greater and more durable than textured yarns. The regularity of the crimp explains the improved fabric aesthetics.
LYCRA® T400® also exhibits excellent resistance to chemicals such as chlorine and UV radiation. The fiber's unique structure also offers the added benefit of good moisture management for a dry and cooling feel.
We currently rely on LYCRA® dualFX® TECHNOLOGY in our Warn-Protect 270, Comfort 270 (fabrics made of polyester and TENCEL TM) and Performance Stretch 250 (cotton) collections.
